For the Spur rebranding project, the core focus is balancing the brand's identity with a deeper, respectful engagement with Native American cultural elements. While Spur has referenced Native American culture, its current branding lacks meaningful representation. The challenge lies in incorporating these themes authentically without alienating existing customers or compromising the brand's essence.
The solution transforms Spur into a platform that educates and celebrates Native American heritage. This involves integrating authentic imagery into the brand identity and offering family-friendly, educational activities within restaurants. The campaign, "And Knowledge," launches on September 26th (Native American Day) and symbolizes this shift. On this day, Spur locations will unveil updates that promote cultural respect and awareness, with select Cape Town outlets hosting Native American representatives for live presentations and cultural displays.
